+ 1. I'm a SAD sufferer too. It's gotten much worse for me over the past few years.

Have you guys with SAD considered moving??

In all seriousness, when I was living in the UK, I was seriously down in the mouth in the winter months. Switzerland has far more sunshine, now I look forward to winter.. The sun off the snow actually increases the amount of sunlight you get..

Hey! My first computer was a Sinclair A Sinclair ZX81 - flat button keyboard, no monitor & no disc drive (obviously). It had a whole 1Kb of memory, we connected it up to an old B&W TV and programmed it in BASIC.

Showing your age now Lisa.. it was my first computer too.. LoL... Those were the days.. We could go out with a coin in our pockets for the phone if we wanted a lift home (to which the answer was usually "you're only half an hour away.. Walk!") and Mum would only worry if we weren't back by 8.. No mobile phone, no Internet, just the big out doors.

Yup and it was a 2 cent coin for the phone box. When I played hockey in high school and got the late bus home I had to ring Dad from the bus stop & he'd come pick me up. Drop in 2 cents and press button B!
Mum didn't bother where we were for the day either, on the weekends we'd take a packed lunch & be gone all day. So long as we came home before the street lights came on.
Ahh, the good old days *sigh*
