Ok you freaky people (maybe less freaky but certainly people.. I hope!), what are you (if you are) "going as" for Halloween? And I don't think it has to be said (though maybe it should be?), but let's see some pictures after the big night, eh?
For me, I'm going as "Queen Bee." The hospital I work at has a site-wide event going on; a contest, if you will. Which department can dress up the best/most people/original idea etc. So my office (medical transcription) is going as "Bees." I'm Queen Bee, another coworker is Bee-Loved, another one is Bee-Deviled, so on and so forth. I have a cute little bee costume; tulle skirt with yellow trim, fake black and yellow corset, a tiara, antennae, wings, black tights, black shoes, and make up. Nilla Bean (my 1 year old Labrador) is also going as a Bee (I got her costume before mine and before we found out about the hospital contest, so it's nice that it works out!). What's the most outrageous thing you've dressed up? What's your favorite costume? Curious minds want to know!

No dressing up here.. But I'll be slicing up a pumpkin into a scary face and putting a candle in it, and handing out sweets to the neighbours kids as they come by.
Oh.. And as far as "outrageous" goes, that's more than I'm prepared to share

I'm not dressing up but the kids are Chloe as a witches cat and Dominic as a Skeleton. I'll take them round the neighbourhood trick or treating while my husband is at home handing out treats when kids knock at ours.
We are pumpkin carving later on today. Halloween is very different here in the UK (it's much more ghosts, gouls, witches, frankenstein, monsters, etc etc - you won't see any kids dressed up as cute fluffy bunnies or such)

I don't actually think I am going to dress up this year, but I saw a great costume on G+
So, you want to be a slice of cheese for Halloween?

I love Halloween. I don't dress up or hand out candy, because I have to dress the kid up and take her around town so she can get candy from others that dress up. But she's only got a year or two before she's done with that, then we can dress up and hand out candy.
I love halloween - what other time of year is it appropriate for normal, average women to dress really ****ty? it's ether than x-ma$$!

Many years ago (around 20 or so...), I used to have a robe I had made out of burlap. I would put that on with a pair of sandals. A month before Halloween I would start growing a beard and I already had long hair. I modified a bible as well. I left genesis and revelations alone, glued all the rest of the pages together, then on the glued section I cut out a large portion of the center creating a box out of the bible. In this box I kept a large quantity of a certain psychedelic recreational substance that made the world look different. Then I was ready to go to a Halloween party all dressed as a carpenter from a few thousand years ago. The really fun part is when I would give communion to people at the party, but instead of the regular hosts, it was a little piece of paper onto their tongue.
Yes, this was quite a controversial costume, but heck, I was 20 odd years old and didn't care.

I stopped doing the candy thing about 5 yrs ago when the last, ehem, kids, that showed up at the door were 4, 6ft tall, 17yr olds, all stretched across my front landing. Very nice kids but i thought at the time, what the hell am i doing, opening my door to 4 giant strangers?? Halloween or not... not a good idea. I was alone at the time, husband away working. Fortunately, we don't have many treaters in the neighbourhood anyway, tis an older aged area.
