So I owed a friend a favor. She is an ad sales exec at the local city glossy and has been trying to sell ad space to the local butcher. She needed someone who come in at the last minute and grab a few, workable shots for her ad dept. to dress up and use for the publication.

His new product line is to package up local foods and have people send them to friends and family who have left the area.

So my first non-kid's sports job: Meat. He insisted on being photographed w/his meat. He made lots of meat jokes. Sausage jokes. He smiled the biggest when he could have meat spilling out of the cardboard box. The building was old, the cases were underlit and wreaking havoc on my metering, the color of his hair matched the color of the walls, there were product spotlights everywhere. And meat.



My ad exec friend and I had a hard time keeping a straight face when he insisted we shoot this one. Doesn't this make you want to buy a box and have it shipped to your door? Oh, and he told my friend that the 2nd shot he wanted in the ad is an elderly woman in a bikini on a beach (showing someone who has retired and moved away and happy as a clam) with this same box of meat. Meat on the beach. Yes.



When I got home hehad friend requested me on FB. I'm now one of the meat guy's 949 FB friends. Yay.

Can I go back to shooting little people running and jumping now???!!

I'll avoid the temptation to make some bad meat jokes. It sounds like you heard them already!

So, he wants...an elderly woman...in a bikini on the beach...holding that box of meat??? I'd almost rather be forced to look at Big Fuzzy's man boobs again. Have fun with that one!
