Listen to the first 2 minutes of this George Carlin video. You'll see where the trouble comes from.

Okay, I guess the term WAS around then, according to George. I love the way he cuts through the b.s.! "Unwilling sperm recipient" - lol.

Awesome collection! Hats off to your dad. I especially like the unintended naughtiness in scan 75. Boys will be boys, eh?

They hardest part was scanning all 200 of them and going through and lightning a few that were way too dark to see. I did the border as a batch, then went through them all and put the words on.

It was kind of funny cause I had to call my dad a couple times and try and figure out exactly what was written on a few and also ask if he wanted me to put certain things on some that have different meaning now. Like all the picture of his hut, I was like are you sure you want me to put 'Hooch' cause now at least around here that means pot or a hooker. He said his buddy would know the difference....LOL

What a treasure you have! My Grandpa was in the Korean War but never talked about it - I didn't even know he had served until I was writing scholarship applications in high school, and he died shortly after that without sharing any stories or pictures (good or bad).

Thanks Guys, He liked the pictures and said "they are almost as good as the ones so and so's son did with his" Which coming from my dad is about as good as it get.

I think 2 of the saddest things about his story is when he first got hit by the mine, they told him that he may never walk again because the shrapnel had severed so many nerves in his legs and such. They were preparing to send him home as soon as he was well enough, well my dad got in the wheelchair and and took himself to therapy, and as you can see by the pics was walking again in a few weeks, so as a reward they sent him back to Vietnam.

I also find it sad that in all the time he spent in a war zone he never actually got shot, but within 6 mths of being back in the states some guys tried to rob him and shot him 4 times. He still has 3 of the bullets in him the 4th was stopped by a metal cigarette holder in his pocket,it would have entered his heart.
