Default I need YOUR help!

I asked in another post, but maybe I asked wrong or in the wrong section...

I need camera specific measurements for all varieties of DSLR's and long lenses.

If you could take a few minutes it would help me greatly.

I need the measurement from the bottom of your camera to the bottom of the lens mount. (set camera on a flat surface and measure from surface to bottom of silver ring). If you have an accessory grip the measurement w/ grip would also be helpful.

If you have a long lens, I need the measurement from the bottom of the foot to the bottom of the mounting ring.

And, of course, the model info and any unusual factor. (like RRS replacement lens foot)
More accurate (finer) measurements are better, metric is fine. Multiple measurements for the same model is also useful for averaging. Anything is helpful.

THANKS!

I'll have to wait until tomorrow to do this, I have no idea where my fiance hid the measuring tape lol

I'd love to help, but I don't have any lenses with tripod mounts. Or do you mean the actual mount where it attaches to the lens? In which case, I'm more than happy to help

I mean both.
If you only have the ability to measure a body that helps too!

Gotcha. Nikon D3100, about 80mm off the ground.
But for accurate numbers, I would suggest AT LEAST 5 measurements or more.

Thanks!

80mm? Is that with a grip? or is that to the bottom of the upper edge of the mount? That's over three inches....

Steve, I don't know if you need some sort of specialized measurements, but wouldn't googling manufacturers and checking their specs on various models be a substantially quicker and more thorough method of accumulating the info you need?

But Bruce, not as much fun as getting six replies and not one with any worthwhile information.

Cheers,
