Default These Peregrines are pissing me off!
For the last couple years we've had peregrines around the neighborhood and they just will NOT cooperate!

Captive or free, they're damned fast when they're flying.. Tracking them with a 500mm lens is a fools game..

Fast you say...? How's this for fast? Several years ago I went to a raptor presentation in Vermont, and apparently, these birds can reach 200mph in a dive. They attack other birds in flight to ultimately dine on them. Their MO is to dive on their subject at a high rate of speed with their "landing gear" (legs) outstretched, and with feet and claws in a tight ball to stun their victims in flight...after that, it's dinner time.
