Thank you so much for your replies! Got my first "session" this morning at 10am.
You live in the UK right? Was it the prelim with like the IAPT or something? Where you see someone in a room, they talk crap and get you to fill out a psych assessment form before deciding where to put you next? Or was it like full on therapy? I only ask because I've had 2 psych evaluations, a 4 week "stress control course" and I'm still waiting for my (HI)CBT :P Maybe I should move :P

It's this service here:

The Service

Sounds similar to what you said. I had to fill in a form with a load of questions about if I have little interest or pleasure in doing things then circle either not all, several days, more than 1/2 days or nearly everyday.

I had an initial assesment last week where someone went though my answers and its been decided that now I need one-to-one sessions. My doc reckons they hold them at the surgery but we'll see.

Ah yeah that's what I had, stuff like "Do you ever think you're better off dead", never, some days, more than half the days, every day :P

Must be the same idea but different area. Mines: IAPT |

... ah yeah, same thing

"italk is the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service provided in partnership between Solent Mind and Hampshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust."

Welcome to the nuthouse

Personally, I have known people who were AWESOME and fantastic at heart but kind of failure in some aspects, professionally. However, never ever underestimate your own will power and willingness to survive and make it big. No therapy or medicine or any damn thing in existence will be effective without your own will power. I am a very firm believer of having a strong will. Check out my blog and you may find some things that I express resonate with you. www.ataracticmind.com

Good luck!!

You will be fine trust yourself
