Trying to develop on #2. Understand #1 (Although I often forget to check certain aspects, especially ISO when I've been using High ISO) and I'm really crap at #3 because in real life, I'm shy...

Oh well, long way to go still.

and Jon, if it were easy, you would soon get bored and go off and find something else to do..Gotta have something to shoot for to keep your interest up..

Indeed but have you ever tried getting a Polar Bear to smile and face away from the light, it takes some pretty good interpersonal skills

I'm very reserved too, I'm getting better at #3 purely by forcing myself into situations :P

Along the lines of the three things you need post, there are a whole bunch of other non-photography related skills that you have to get a handle on to be a pro; Workflow, accounting, sales, marketing and branding, technology, customer-service and fulfillment /collections...

That is why 85% of folks who go pro are gone after 2 years. Pushing a shutter with a known set up is easy, running a business is hard. Running an artistic business just ups the ante!

Now you have me wondering if that sentence has the same double meaning in the UK as it does in the US.

Because here I'm having to restrain myself from making a moderately inappropriate comment.

One might complain about the strain of verbal constipation
