Need an advice
I am planning a hiking trip to China in December-January. Can you share any tips and tricks for winter shooting? Winter in China is cold, sunny and it snows a lot. I really don’t have lots of experience shooting in such conditions. What should I watch for? Do I need to use any filters or else? Thank you |

Sounds like you'll need lots of beer.
And spot metering technique up your sleeves

Keep your batteries warm. They lose power in the cold

Use a CPL.. It will take the glare out of the snow..
Sounds like a skiing trip, not a hiking trip.

At least you'll be able to take some nice scenics...The cold weather helps cut the smog.
I didn't get one worthwhile pic from the top of the Great Wall, and I carried a full kit! Man I was disappointed.
