Doesn't mean a thing: my camera is a few years old and I can get it to make the file counter read 1 too.

You have to find the right software to read the EXIF and figure out how many frames have been shot with it. It'll never be 0 or 1.

I finally figured it is a brand new camera by uploading it to Check shutter count online - My Shutter Count.com

My photo count on my new card is 85 and before that I had clicked around 20-30 test shots on internal memory. Felt like I beat down a dead horse for little too long
