Exclamation Auuugh! What do I do now?!

I was doing some photo-editing with Gimp the other day.

And I accidentally clicked on the 'X' button in the corner of the 'Layers' box.

You know, there are two 'boxes' when you're working with Gimp, the Tool Box on the left side of the screen, and the 'Layers' box on the right side of the screen.

Are you following me? Do you know what I'm talking about? Here is a picture of what my Gimp looks like now. (The attachment.)
See? There's the toolbox, but the layers box isn't there, because I accidentally closed out of it. :P

Well, how do I get the 'layers' box back?? I have no idea... Is there a way to??
Or will I have to download Gimp all over again?

Has this ever happened to anyone else before? Pleeeaaase help!

I don't use GIMP so can't help you. Try saving the image, exiting the program and reopening? Or wait for a GIMP user to give you the REAL correct answer. Good luck.

Yep, I've opened and closed Gimp a bunch of times over the past few days, the box doesn't come back. I don't know what try to do now!
Thanks for your suggestion, though. That was the first thing that I thought of to do, too! I wish it had worked. =P

Up at the top in the tabs,..go to Windows> Recently Close Docks. It should have Layers, channels, etc. Just click on it and it'll reopen.

I used Gimp to start off with too, and have done the exact same thing.

I had to re-download just to make sure I had it right,..but I think I'll leave it since I have more storage space on this computer. For questions like these.
