Default An alternative Flickr viewer...if someone needs it

Just something I found by accident, simply paste your Flickr id (the odd set of characters identifying you on Flickr, for example, mine is 26469995@N03) behind the last forward slash character, like this:

Quote:
photo.medvekoma.net/Photos/your flickr id
Here's mine:

Does for me. Do you not have flash or some other stuff on your browser?

It's an interesting option, especially for folks that don't want to spend money yet on a proper portfolio.
Do you know if it would work with sets or just your whole stream? I ask because I can see Sets being used as different sections of a portfolio..

Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, the links in the upper row are basically the same as equivalent Flickr links:

Photos - Displays the whole photostream
Albums - Displays your sets as links, clicking on them opens the set
Favorites - Displays your Flickr favorites
Recommendations - As far as I understand, it shows a selection of photos from other Flickr members based on your favorites. This is an interesting feature.
Contacts - Same as in Flickr, it shows the recent photos by your contacts.
Groups - Shows your Flickr groups.
Contact List - The name says it, it shows your contact list.

Might be a Chrome thing. It's telling me Chrome couldn't find the host website. Odd. Well, I've not had this problem before, but I guess it's my browser....

I just tried it and it's working for me in Opera, FF and IE, it really is.

I think it's some kind of a problem with DNS servers, although I'm not sure. Please try it now, I've changed the link, I added www. Sometimes I encounter this myself with URLs without the www, and adding it helps.

It's not working for me either in FF. Maybe because of company firewall? It can't even find the webpage, it's not just a problem with displaying the content...

I'll have to try at home....

Yeah, whoever they are they're having DNS issues. Their hostname doesn't resolve to an IP address.
