To each his own, I guess, but since those pics come from someone who is blind AND given the fact that most of the time, I can't even come close to those results with two relatively good eyes...

I really wouldn't worry about what he has to say, mediocre is a compliment coming from him...

Well, if I ever lose my sight, I hope I'll carry on photographing.. Sight's got to be the sense I'd miss the most if I lost one.

I should interject with the idea that composition is easier when you can only see shapes - I know several photographer that throw the lens OOF just to see the composition. Perhaps this could actually be helping her?

We have to keep in mind that these skills are Canadian.

We've got to factor in the exchange rate for Canadian skills versus those actual skills.
