Default Ongoing Request for Disaster-Related Photos and Videos for LCMS

Disaster-related photos and videos needed!

Non-profit worldwide relief agency of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is always in need of disaster-related photos and videos from around the world.

We use these photos and videos on our website and in our donor publications. In exchange for the use of your photo and/or video, we will provide a “Photo (Video) by…” credit. well this is sure to tick someone off, but I could care less..... Churches are some of the biggest money making "non profits" in the world, why not BUY what you need, a photo credit doesn't pay the bills...I'm sorry I'm all about charity, but churches that pull the non profit crap just burns me up to no end.

I'm inclined to agree... Perhaps visit Getty or another stock agency like other non-profits I know do?

Interesting that they are not fussy about which disaster the photos/videos are from. How is a photo of a random disaster-relief-effort-somewhere-in-the-world that they were not present at relevant to them? Shouldn't they just get photos/videos of their own people in action?

As someone who's done work for relief agencies, I find this appalling. You're really going to use video and images from disaster areas to which you may or may not have sent relief?

It's disingenuous at best.

So glad I'm getting married at an ELCA church.
