Hey ya fellow photographers , I m a proud owner of CANON SX130 IS digicam. It has manual setting. Sometimes when i shoot in aperture mode ( which is usually my fav. mode ) in low numbers (large aperture) without flash in a normal room in normal day..the pics starting to come blurred. Then I have to use the flash which kill the blurriness but instead flash kill the natural light. I seriously need you guys help on this point. I need the shootings in low aperture number without flash and without any blur. Thax in advance guys help me out

Yup, if you're in a darker environment your shutter is probably compensating by opening for a longer time to let enough light in for the proper exposure, and doing this handheld means any hand vibration will cause blurriness. A tripod is an easy fix if you have one available, or anywhere you can set the camera so it will be stationary. If not, make sure you're holding your camera properly and that the IS function on your camera is enabled (it usually is by default).
Another thing you can do in low light is increase your camera's ISO sensitivity, say to something like 800 or 1600, though keep in mind this will make your shots more grainy.

Sounds like slow shutter speed to me.
This might help. |
