The love of a dog...
Sorry i have not been around for the past week. My dog Baxter got really sick. He was diagnosed last week with chronic renal failure. No idea what brought it on. My wife and I spent all the time we could with him. And this morning we had to let him go. He was suffering too much. We could have kept him around for a while longer, but it would have been too selfish to let him continue to be in pain. I lost my best friend today. I have never known a dog anything like my Baxter. He was the definition of love. I will miss him for the rest of my life.

I'm sorry you lost your pal.. Dogs are great friends to have, unfortunately they don't last as long as people. I hope you find the strength to allow another friend into your life.

Having lost two elderly dogs myself in the last year I know just how you are feeling.
Know that he is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, and remember the good times you had with him.

Very sorry to hear.
Check your dog food... has it changed, does it have any Chinese ingredients? There was a problem in South Africa a year or 2 ago 2007 pet food recalls - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My condolences on the loss of your dog. No matter what the reason, it's hard to make the choice to let them go. Had a similar situation some 20 years ago with my last dog...major convulsion & I just couldn't stand to see him endure another one. Took me 18 years to get another dog. The void inbetween was pretty tough too. Luckily, that void has been filled quite nicely now. Hope you can find it in your heart to take in another best friend.

He is such an adorable dog. I can imagine the affection you and your family have for him. May you and your wife find the strength to face the moments.

My condolances for your loss. I've been though that decision process several times myself and it never gets easier. You did the right thing for you pal and not prolong his suffering for selfish reasons. That is the true measure of love and companionship. May you be able to bring another dog into your life when ready.

I'm so sorry you lost your friend. I've had dogs my whole life so I've been through this myself a few times and it never gets easier. Hugs to you and your wife.
