Dont joke too hard: Thom Hogan has been clamouring for a 3G or wifi enabled camera for years. Maybe not to text or make phone calls, but to be able to send photos online, or provide apps.
Imagine: instead of a "Panorama" mode, you have an "app" that does that. Instead of a video mode, you have a "video" app, or you can download a different kind of video from a different app. Need high-speed video? Download a new app. Want a built-in HDR? Download a new app. Wouldnt put it past them.
