Default I feel like a idiot.

Since chit chat seems to be the whining section, here it goes.

I was in my garage, and heard one of my web/file/whatever servers making a funny noise. I went to check, determined which one, and poped the cover. (first mistake, should have taken it off the rack.) It turned out to be a fan in the second row. More precisely a wire clip for the fan. Thinking it would be a quick fix, I reached back to re-clip the thing. (second mistake, I should have paused the job, and shut the unit off) Well as I was reaching blindly back there, my hand touched a running fan. It did not hurt, but it scared me. This caused me to jerk my hand back. In the process dragging my hand across the heat sink of the second core, hence slicing my hand open and burning it at the same time. (I had a 3d render going) This in turn caused me to jump backwards, tripping over a cardboard box (that some day I'm going to make a strip light out of) falling, and scraping my palm up pretty bad.

I have not had a good day. Maybe if I get in a really whiny mood I will post some shots.

Anyone want to place bets on how long it takes before someone mentions sex?

I'm not mentioning it.. But my grandad cut his finger off at the knuckle by reaching into a running fan.. I reckon you got off lightly.

Hopefully it wasn't your wanking hand or you'll have to do "The Stranger" while you heal.

Crossed the line before it got set.

What an idiot...

No, seriously though, I hope you're not too badly hurt.
And you're only an idiot if you do the same thing again in the future.

Or if you did the same thing last week and haven't learned anything.

Thanx, I'm fine. My dignity hurts more then my hand

Nope, the only other time I hurt myself on these was when I tried to Hot-Swap my hand, but that's another whole story.

Man that sucks. Good thing it wasn`t worse. A scratch and burn will heal. For now you`ll just have to learn to focus with the other hand and wank..............too far?

I guess that makes me too stupid to be alive. I can`t even count the number of times I`ve hit my head on a branch, or road sign, or just plain out walked into a wall. I blame those damn smartphones that are impossible to put away

Glad you'll be ok, & in no time, you'll be able to focus again like it never happened!

Just don't make the same mistake again!
