Default OOOh the things people say!

So I'm doing a show in Taos, New Mexico over the weekend. A guy walks into my booth and asks "Did you take all of these?" now, ya get used to that question, dumb as it seems to me. So I answer why yes I did.
Next he walks over to a photo of the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park and asks "Where you actually there?" lol, as I sat scratching my head wondering what to say..........................

Next a lady walks in and says she is from North Carolina and proceeds to ask at what altitude do the deer turn into elk?

Not everyone from North Carolina is a ignorant yokel. Just the ones that seem to go out in public.

My parents are visiting me from North Carolina. I've got pictures of my children hanging on the wall. They're good pictures. "Did you take those?" they ask me. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't ask it every time the see the picture. The SAME picture.

Just tell them that with this lens, you can take all of those shots from your deck:

Amazon.com: Sigma 200-500mm f/2.8 APO EX DG Ultra-Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras: Camera & Photo

The reviews are the best part...

My dad always says it's my camera that takes the nice pictures. He can't take a decent pic for nothing, so I guess he thinks it's got to be the camera & not the operator. Ah well....he says a lot of things that bug me. After almost 50 years, I've kind of gotten used to his comments. Now I just let them slide....he's too old to change anyway. LOL

Ha ha, funny stuff. I build cedar strip canoes and kayaks, and often get questions that just leave me shaking my head in amazement. My favorite is "how do you make it look so much like WOOD"?

Why, contact paper, of course.

I feel your pain......
