Has anyone seen this? What do you make of it? A new camera technology called 'Light Field'. They are still being pretty cryptic on their web page, since the first camera hasn't even been released yet. But, they have some sample photos, and basically, you can refocus the picture anywhere you want...AFTER the fact! Just click where you want to refocus. Interesting.
Here is the link: Lytro Light Field Camera It works by capturing the light from all angles, and storing all the information so you can alter the photo later. My guess is that it will be pretty expensive when it first comes out, not to mention they said it originally will only be sold in the US. |
