Default The bridge lights up

Well its grand final week in Australia. We have the AFL Gaelic football with Aussie rules in Melbourne and of course the National Rugby League grand final in Sydney.
As part of the lead up celebrations, the Sydney Harbour Bridge Pilons have been illuminated with some photos of action shots of players during the year.

Tele photographers light up Sydney as their greatest frames of all are projected onto the Sydney Harbour Bridge | thetelegraph.com.au

The grand finalists this year are the Manly Sea Eagles and the New Zealand Warriors. As everyone hates Manly, and the Warriors are up against the Rugby Union World Cup over in the shaky isles, I hope the Warriors win. It will be great fro Rugby League in NZ and Australia.

I'm going into town on the weekend and I hope to get some good shots of the display.

Might show you some. Unless Grace beats me to it.

Cheers,

John W

Great idea, John!!! I've missed all those opportunities when they would light up the Sydney Harbour bridge and the Opera House on several huge occasions because I...errrr........lazy? hazy? Crazy?

I don't think I'll beat you to it but let me know if and when you are in town!

The Warriors had 4000 fans turn out to their training session in Auckland yesterday, the All Blacks had 3000 watch them in Wellington. The loyalty of the Warrior fans is awesome, go the Warriors!

Go the Warriors!

Good to see that the IRB has 'allowed' the game to be shown in the fan zones in Auckland.

Bring back photos, John - I'd love to see them

I don't really give a stuff about whether the game can be seen in the fanzone in Auckland - I live in Dunedin.
If I hear one more news item about Auckland's public transport system, I'll scream. You'll hear me from the Manawatu!

Everyone is supporting the Sydney Warriors. They're Australian now, just like Crowded House, Russel Crowe, Richard Wilkins, Phar Lap, Sam Neil and Rachel Hunter.

I will bring back some photos.

Cheers,

John W
