Default Loss of power to camera
My Pentax K-x shows battery depleted after only 2 uses of flash despite new batteries (lithium) and cleaning and drying battery compartment. Why? How do I fix it?

how did you clean the battery compartment? and why? You may have just gotten a bad set of batteries is all.

Thanks. Tried 3 sets of batteries, new in packet off shelf. Cleaned battery compartment with soft lense cloth and terminals with cotton buds.

I believe this was a known issue with the old firmware. Have you updated your firmware to the latest version?
