I was drunk last night.

My job, which was primarily research and development on military projects, was eliminated yesterday. Not just my job, but my entire team's.

We weren't fired, but instead were given a few options of openings within the company. I was not given an option...I was told I would be fixing my former department's issues, which have gotten out-of-hand in my six month absence.

So, depressed, I got drunk. Goose Island Peres Jacques...real drunk. Somehow, I ended up going on our company website and applying for a job in our commercial avionics division, which I was told was off-limits.

Must've done something right. This morning (hungover) I had an interview, and was picked up by the other division by noon. Apparently the hiring manager had some friends in HR, and pulled some strings.

Now I'm drinking again, in celebration. Sam Adam's Octoberfest

Last time I got drunk, I tried to get naked while playing Wii bowling in front of my girlfriend's entire family. I don't drink but about once a year. Vodka is my downfall.
