Default Post and P*** Off!

Dont you just love it when someone posts an image for critique and you spend time thinking about it and then some more of your time typing out what you believe might be some useful information to help them out. Then, they never come back or if they do they don't acknowlege any of the input. Must be some sort of game to them.

Cheeses me off!

... but your efforts don't go unappreciated by all the others who stop by and look at the image, then read your assessment. We learn from it too, probably even more than the OP...

And of course what happens the next time the OP makes a new post? You pass it by. In the end it works itself out as those types usually have short DPS lives.

If it'll make you feel better Bruce I have a pile of crap that probably needs a good critique!

Yeah, I used to feel that way, but after being here a while I started seeing from Bruce's (Zona"s) perspective. I even learn by giving critique. It helps me to slow down and really analyze what is going on in the image. So it's really a win/win when you think about it this way.

It's the same the internet over Bruce. I've contributed to a travel forum for a few years, over 12,000 helpful replies(well 11,950 helpful ones, the other 50 I got mad Not many come back to respond and while you don't do it for the accolades, it's nice to be appreciated once in awhile especially as it's all done for love. It's got that now I just pick and choose the ones I want to respond to. I also got sick of typing the same or similar answers over and over again especially when the answer was sitting 2 or 3 threads below!

And as Zona says there's other people out there learning from your comments too. At least here you can see how many views a thread is getting, on the travel forum it's not shown so you could in fact be talking to thin air!

ETA- Maybe your title should read " Post and P*** Off Then!"

Also when Windrider asks them to post the exif data and ask specific questions (which they should have done already if they paid attention) and there is no response at all.

I agree that's rude.

Is it that hard? (whoops, we covered that in another thread)

My thoughts exactly.

The sad thing is, I can no longer look through a magazine without mentally critiquing the images. I'm pathetic, lol!

I was being horribly pathetic while thumbing through an issue of Harper's Bazaar at my mother-in-law's podiatrist's office.
