Default Panorama stitch?

Good morning everyone. I have a panoramic setting on my kodak easy share C195 that I cant quite figure out. It takes 3 seperate images which I understand but how do you stitch them together without it appearing as 3 seperate pictures with the boundaries of the images showing? How do you make it a clear shot where all the images are together looking like one image?

Thanks

My guess would be that your camera on panoramic setting is going to put them together for you in-camera???

Technically you don't need to use the panoramic setting to make panoramic photos. You can take 3 or even many many more shots and stitch them together in a program like Photoshop. When taking your series of photos, you should use a tripod for best results and you should have some overlap in shots.

If you have Photoshop you can use their Photomerge process. Here's a good tutorial video showing how to use Photomerge in Photoshop CS5: Create a Panorama Photo by stitching images using Photoshop CS5 Photomerge - YouTube

I only use Photoshop CS5 so that's the only way I know how. Hope that helps

Nope, Photoshop is not available for free on-line and it's a pricey software, however if you are a student (even enrolled part time) in a course in digital arts you can get it for a substantial discount; this is how I purchased mine.

I signed up for a 4 class workshop (which ran $75.00 ) on "Beginning Photoshop" at a local technical college and that qualified me for the student discount price of $199.00 for Photoshop. Well worth it as Photoshop CS5 runs from $650 - $700 depending on where you buy it.

There are other programs out there for cheaper and I've heard of one called GIMP that is for FREE via download.... but I have no idea if that software does photo stitching as I haven't used it but you could probably do a quick Google search to find out.

Have you checked the software that came with the camera? My little Canon P&S's software included a stitching programme. The Kodak one might.

you can get any software online for free. utorrent.com search google for photoshop torrent. keep in mind its not legal, but there is a slim chance you would get caught unless you are using it for a business and are investigated for some odd reason. I used to download my software for free, but now that I can afford to buy it, I do.
