Default Name this Stuff!

Today the wife and I were out to a couple of Estate sales. We enjoy these as we can walk through people's houses and every once in a while we pick up something very nice dirt cheap.

One of them today was very interesting. It was an old closed theater in a small town. It had maybe 10 rows of seats. Stacked upon the rows of seats were shelving units, and on the shelves were the largest assortments of "stuff". Everything from commenrative dishes, any type of knick-knack one could imagine. Even the old lobby area was full of shelves bursting with stuff.

The backstory...Once upon a time a lady purchased this building when it was vacant, built a small apartment inside and proceeded to fill it with her treasures. As time passed and she ran out of room. The logical decision was to make a second story within the building and built another apartment. This too would fill and so another apartment was carved out of the new space. And so on, and so on until the entire building was full to the brim. Needless to say, this poor soul was a hoarder.

As I was poking around I found a couple of items the old film guys will recognize.

Name the items and swissjon will give you the prize!

What are We?

And...how many of you had one of these?

Have you ever had?

I never used an enlarger but I had always wanted to learn. Now, the camera brings back memories. My uncle retired from Kodak in the early '90's so I was lucky enough to see some of the fun stuff that came out of there. That was one of my favorites as kid. "Easy load" film and flash cubes that melted the front as it flashed. Made me feel kinda dangerous as a pre-teen. LOL

I have about 4 instamatics. I pick them up at yard sales for pocket change. I gave a couple to my kids--they like to play Diego and enjoy having their very own "Click."

Enlargers...I miss those sometimes. Never got to use a color one, but I put some hours in front of a Besler 23C. Nothing like a wet darkroom. When Glade makes a fixer-scented plugin, I'll be getting one.

Had a Durst enlarger back in the early seventies - never developed colour though.

Oh I could name all that stuff, but then what would be the point? Noone would have to give me a prize..

Just to get you started, the thing to the left of the orange box is an ashtray.
