Default general cleaning of camera

I have just a quick question from everyone. I have gotten into doing some fun photos over the last couple of years on ball diamonds and dirt track. What is a good way of cleaning my camera body from the dirt of going on those trips? I am nervous about getting into the camera and messing something up. Are there any good tools or techniques that anyone would recommend? Thanks in advance everyone.

Rocket blowers, compressed air (from a distance), slightly damp cloth (but not on the inside), sensor cleaning kits.

That's what I would do at least.

I also would never change lens in dusty conditions.
