hey all. Im david. didn't really seen an new members section so i thought i'd put it here. i just got my first dslr, a Canon XS. I got a lot to learn. I read its good to do the photo a day thing. So I started a blog. Check it out. follow it if you like. Most of all leave me advice and tips.

Hi Flyguy, welcome to DPS. If you want advice and tips read the Critique section rules and post your images there. I sure you understand if everyone came along and asked us to go to their blogs and provide critiques, then nothing would get done here. DPS would implode on itself and disappear into oblivion then we'd all be wandering aimlessly around the world wide web in search of the place we could take the p**s out of each other and have a good laugh over each other's images.

Seriously, do post here for sharing or critique as it's a great way to improve our skills (should we have any).

Like Bruce said.. The point of this site is to bring your questions to us, not for us to go to you.. So if you have some questions, or just want to share your Shots, feel free to make use of those sections, don't forget to read the rules first.

If you just want to join in the banter, feel free, we all know each other here, but that's only because we joined in

It's not daunting, there are a few in-jokes you may take a while to understand, but there aren't so many here that will take the P**S maliciously, mostly it's just people having a bit of fun, and if you can see the lighter side of a comment, that's probably the way it was meant..
