Default Mt Doom

I'm no expert but I think this time lapse sequence is awesome! Showcases New Zealands North Island's beautiful Central Plateau area(and a LOTR location; Mt Doom) to perfection.

Really nice film, takes a ton of planning and processing to put something like this together. Really makes me wish I lived where I could see more than a few stars at night.

BTW The the animated short your avatar is taken fun is a really cool video if you haven't seen it before.

Would love to know what the settings were for each of the night shots.

Mt Ruapehu in winter, it used to be a familiar sight - usually seen from the middle of the army training area, in a hole in the ground, on sentry duty.
Some beautiful work there, would love to visit again sometime with a decent camera.

Great stuff. I wouldn't have the patience to do something like that. It reminds me of one of my favorite movies, Koyaanisqatsi.
