I'm no expert but I think this time lapse sequence is awesome! Showcases New Zealands North Island's beautiful Central Plateau area(and a LOTR location; Mt Doom) to perfection.

Really nice film, takes a ton of planning and processing to put something like this together. Really makes me wish I lived where I could see more than a few stars at night.
BTW The the animated short your avatar is taken fun is a really cool video if you haven't seen it before.

Mt Ruapehu in winter, it used to be a familiar sight - usually seen from the middle of the army training area, in a hole in the ground, on sentry duty.
Some beautiful work there, would love to visit again sometime with a decent camera.
