Default New Website; treadwellimages.com

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if you would be willing to give me some feed back on my new website. I was looking for feedback with regard to layout, navigation and basically how you think the overall image quality is in terms of aesthetics; Are the images any good? Please be honest and if you have time go through all the links.

Thanks everyone,
Darryl

First your site layout is nice

The size of the font on the menu is a little too small. Being the font is script it can be hard to read for some visitors at this size, especially white on black.

So if you make the font size larger you may end up with too many menu items across the top. You could create a drop-downs for the miscellaneous items (About, Contact, etc.) or place these in a side bar.

It's odd that you and others are putting music on their sites. Last week another person wanted critique on a site and upon visiting there was music.

Here is what I said about the music...

Quote:
But do yourself a favor... Get rid of that music! Coming from a developer, it is one of the biggest mistakes in web design.

Ask yourself a couple of questions...
1. Is it essential to my website?
2. Is it right for my audience?
3. Are my visitors going to be visiting often?
4. Will they get tired of hearing it over and over?
5. Will they already be listening to music or are they visiting your site in a work place or office setting?

Music is a great to listen to, but it’s hardly essential for a website. It could also be what drives your visitors away.
Hope this helps,
Jerome
