Hi all, I have a couple questions regarding senior portrait taking. I am helping out a family member who cannot afford a photographer for senior portraits. So I will be taking the senior photos for her son. The problem is that I'm on the videographer side of things shooting/editing indie movies and such and not so much photography. I have a good grasp on composition and lightning so that’s not my problem. I also know my camera (Canon T2i) very well. My problem is how to get the pictures printed correctly at the best print quality. Can I just go shoot a bunch of shots at 18MP and have a company resize and print them for me? Is there much degradation from having 18MP shots resized down to wallet size? Can I just use Photoshop to resize without any degradation? Also should I frame the shot as intended or shoot it with cropping in mind? These are probably dumb questions, but I couldn’t find much from my initial searches.
Thanks |
