Default Photographer looking to live inside a photo-studio

So I am planning on moving out into my own place soon.

I want a big open space to make it easy to photograph whatever I want, and to place lights anywhere without squeezing everything into a tiny room.

I've run into a problem though: Commercial buildings have the big open space, but they don't have showers, kitchens, or bathrooms, and residential buildings have showers, kitchens and bathrooms, but usually don't have large open spaces.

A good compromise I've found are loft apartments.

I was wondering if anyone else had any better ideas, or if lofts are the best thing to look for when a photographer wants to live inside a photo-studio-like place? Is anyone else currently doing this? I can't seem to find anything like this around my town.

Thanks
Evan

Move into an apartment and just rent studio space as needed. Many times they include all the lighting gear you need.
