Annoying angle?

They used it in Thor and it just seemed so pointless. All it did was deliberately make you notice the camera angle.

+1 Although I have seen it used effectively on occasion for action sports shots and portraits. How often have you heard someone say, "That's a great shot. You know, it would look even better if you rotated it 10 degrees?"

I sometimes take portraits at things like parties and whatnot on a slant, but it's maybe 10 degrees and often is used to fit short and talk people in. I firmly stand by the fact that 95% of photographs should be oriented to that of gravity

And usually I've had a few drinks at that stage.

I go with "annoying angle." Like HDR, vignetting, and selective focus; it is appropriate at times. However, it has been overused way too much lately.

I go with the "One leg is shorter than the other" angle.
