Here is a list I compiled since I have been looking around just curious to see what is out there and actually ended up buying the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 ai because the image quality looked so good and I don't mind manual focus portrait lenses.

The Nikon 28-80mm f/4-5.6 is somewhere around there, ranging at $90-115
