Default Posing in a portrait studio

I honestly have no idea where this goes in the forum, so feel free to yell at me for posting in the wrong area or just move it :P

But anyway, I just got hired at a Sears portrait studio. I'm doing computer training until tomorrow and then starts the "real" training. I've done portraiture photography on my own, however I haven't really mastered the whole "posing" yet. And I'm really nervous to start photographing at the portrait studio because of the whole posing thing. I know that there's a little booklet thing that shows different poses for all all groups, but I really do not want to be repetitive about it with all of my clients. Basically my question is: do you have any suggestions for me to get more creative with it? I've been looking on google for poses, but they're always outside the studio, and I need ideas for inside the studio. Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

My first thought as well. I assume it is all pretty programmatic. (Don't touch the tripod, don't move the camera, Don't touch the lights, Don't fiddle with the knobs...)
