YIKES!! The wildfire in northeast OKC has really gotten ugly. This is the second one in 3 weeks that has prompted my husband and I to pack up our most precious things and load them into the car "just in case". Over 12 square miles have burned already, and the fire is less than 8 miles due south of our home. The winds are strong today, and it is HOT. The firefighters got everything under control overnight, but then it flared up again during the day, and that cycle is likely to continue. The countryside near our home is so beautiful, it makes me sad. Please pray for those in the path of this firestorm!
Here are some shots I took of the aftermath of the last fire a few weeks ago: ![]()

I had no clue it was on fire. Im not sure its been mentioned here on the east coast. We're all still looking at recaps of Irene damage, and of course its the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, so all the history/science channels have the 9/11 revisits on, plus all the old footage.

It's terrible to see what these fires can do. Hope you don't need to evacuate FL.
