Well I'm sorry for the Poms and the Yanks but you miss out. You got nothin.
Melbourne had just overtaken Vancouver as the worlds most liveable city. BBC News - Melbourne edges out Vancouver to top liveable city list The Canadians did well as did us Aussies with most of the top ten shared between us and the Kiwis and a Fin or somehting. Now we'll never stop Sime and Darren from carrying on about it. So where do you live and where did your city come? Cheers, John W

I'm in Trinidad Colorado where Bat Masterson was once the Sheriff had all the makings of a true wild west movie. Where the mafia ruled the town, complete with underground tunnels. Hotels that presidents stayed in and brothels were a common place.
Then we became know as the sex change capital of the world.

I don't live in a city, I live in the countryside. At the foot of some of the most beautiful mountains in Europe. (Literally.. The nearest mountatin starts about 100m from my house) I work in Lausanne, which is one of the most expensive places in the world, but if you want to find me when I'm at my happiest, you need to look up to the forests on the side of the mountain..
City living is for suckers.. Until you've been into real wilderness, you've never lived. I mean, fancy needing to have a vote on the "most livable city".. That's like having a vote on the cleanest toilet..

Montreal, Canada.
A city on an island with a mountain in the middle! A multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-lingual city with lots of atmosphere and great festivals all year long! Now, if they can just finish those d**n roadworks and fix those falling overpass so I can get downtown and take some pics!

I live in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, pretty small place called Slaneville. We have a stop sign. And a gas station. And a post office. But I am about 100 miles from Washington DC and lots of other really nice places are in between. I think where we live, we have the best of both worlds. We are within reasonable driving distance to anything that we could possibly want to do, yet we live way in the country.

I live in Kapa'a Hawaii, on the island of Kauai. Kapa'a came up in a recent study. It was found to be the 2nd drunkest city in the United States, coming in a close second after Hilo on the Big Island. Bunch of drunks out here in Hawaii...
