Default Going to get my new camera

Hi everyone
Iv just joined and will post a full introduction in the intro thread in a moment.
Until now iv only really used a compact camera and my phone.
Im heading out in 10 mins to pick up my new camera Fujifilm Finepix s2750.
Iv been researching for sometime on a my camera, I really like the look of this and reviews iv read.
I still dont understand alot of the terminology but iv ordered a few books from my library and this site has been very helpful.

So excited lol

Thanks
Vicky

Welcome to DPS... best thing you can do is read a lot, and post here for feedback/critique though it's not always nice I can guarantee you will learn something.

See you around!

I have to laugh at myself, because everytime i see someone say that have a camera that starts with Fujifilm i thnk they are going to say the x100! I guess that is because its my favorite Fujifilm camera at the moment. I was going to buy it for my wife but it doesn't have a zoom lens so she wouldn't like it. Good luck with your new camera!!! And welcome the the DPS

You've read the rumors of the X50/X10 (half the sensor, half the price)? And the interchangeable lens version of the X100 next year? No idea how solid the rumors are, but it's nice to dream a little.

Thanks,
Good job I like reading, also just found out our flat mate is quite good with a camera so can get some help from him.
Im really looking forward to getting out and about, planning a trip to the zoo next week.
My oh is working all day so just me, my camera and something to eat.
Though it would give me a chance to experiement, different lightings, animals etc

Thanks
