Default Anyone here ever shoot with a Nikon N2020?

Just curious. My sister-in-law has one that she's lending me because I want to play with shooting film with an SLR. My last experience with film was with a Pentax compact camera that pretty much did everything for me, lol. So, I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had experience with this camera and what your thoughts were on it.

I used to sell them when they were new
Nothing to write home about. Entry level AFslr, built in winder, program mode plus manual

Thanks, Bruce. Funny, I'd already found the manual online and read through it, and my SIL actually still has her original manual that she'll give me when she brings it over. I'm a huge believer in RTFM.

It sounds like a good SLR to learn on, though. I like the idea of really having to think carefully about each shot, since it's not like all I have to do is hit delete and retake the pic. I'm sure my first few rolls will most likely be disastrous, though.

It will be a fun adventure. I wonder how many times you'll chimp the back looking for the histogram
But really it's all the same...light is light, don't let the camera do all the thinking - just like digital - be smarter than the camera.
You guys are making me wanna bust out some film too...I think I still have some film in the freezer

Keep in mind Nikon's meters read the opposite of Canon. Left is lighter, right is darker.

Not to worry - there isn't any left or right...you'll have to look at shutter speeds to see if the exposure is right...the blinky one and the solid one!
