Questions are great And if you're looking for a good place in the forum to ask them, try Digital Photography Techniques or if it's about your camera, Digital Photography Equipment and Gear

Welcome to the forums!

Welcome to DPS! And just so you know, I've been here quite awhile and I'm still a major pain if I find that I simply cannot wrap my head around something or if I come up with the next big idea and need advice!

Everyone here will do what they can to help you though. Sometimes (often times) there's a lot of kidding around, but in the end you will learn a ton here!

start out with the basics and it will all come to you

Shutter speed
Aperture
ISO

I suggest reading the book Understanding Exposure, 3rd Edition by Bryan Pertersen. You can pick it up at any major book store or on amazon. I use my kindle for all my reading.

There was spam a few posts up which I've since removed. However, it's a great time for me to point out that it's really best if people don't quote the spam in their responses. Otherwise I have to go and delete those too.
