I was in Illinois visiting my dying grandma the early part of this last week with my brother. We dont expect here to make it till Friday of this next week.
Seeing my great cams he conned me into taking pics of my nephew for his 18 month session. I figured little kid, how hard can it be? ![]() When it was game time at his house I was in a 15x15 room and with all the stuff in the room it worked out more like 8x8. He was in fast forward and the light was low. I shot with my 50 at f2.8. I know total rookie mistake. He moved so fast out of the plane of focus I could barely get a shot in focus. I switched lenses and by then it was all over but the crying. It was his nap time and it just went downhill from there. So I got my a$$ handed to me by an 18 month old bobblehead. ![]() In the end I got about 6 decent candids

With many, many years of my wife and I shooting kids of all ages, (which is the primary focus of our business)18 months is probably one of the most difficult ages. Old enough to be fully mobile plus old enough to tell you that they are not interested in having their pictures taken. Usually by then, they have developed their obstinate personalities with NO being their favorite word
