Hi Group,
I'm new here as of this evening. Already I have a question: In a few weeks my model railroad team (Sundance Central Modular Railroad) will be taking our portable layout to a national convention. When we are on the road the most often asked question is, how long does it take to set up. This trip I want to make a time lapse video that we will play at our Welcome table on a small TV. It takes six of us about 15 hours to go from unloading the truck to running trains. I have a camera mount bolted to a section of scaffolding at around 11' high. Probably use a Canon 40d and a intervolmeter to do the shooting. We want the final product to run about 90 seconds and I will process the shots in Windows Movie Maker. Any suggestions as to the interval between shots? Any comments appreciated. Thanks, dale - Brooksville, Fl |

well some quick math would tell me you would want to take a photo every 20 seconds if you are running the video at 30 frames per second.

You need to go here:
TimeScapes Time Lapse Photography I've been doing a lot of research on this lately... One of the better sites I'ves seen so far on the topic. I'm considering doing it for one of my construction projects, but I dont want to hammer the shutter on my regular camera, so I'm looking at other options.
