Default Wedding Photography

Are there any wedding photographers on here? I think we should have a wedding photography section like how there is a sports section. How many people here make a living doing wedding photography? I have a huge interest in this and would like to do this for a living once I get out of the ARMY with comercal airline pilot as a fall back. So i am very interested in the whole process of Wedding photography since everyone does it differently. It would be nice to have a section to share all the different styles.

Don't do it.

Become a pilot. You'll get more girls.

I love Aviation, but Photography is where my heart is. I even gave up on designing my website to spend more time reading my photography books. Just started reading one today and almost done with it already. This Kindle is addicting...

Well in answer to your question, I don't think there are many full time wedding photographers on here... I think there are a few who do a few here and there, more of them than there are full timers.

Not sure that a subforum would be a bad idea, if it encapsulated everything about weddings.

If you want a full-on, wedding-centric forum have a look at DWF.

You'll be lucky to make anywhere near what a commercial pilot earns with wedding photography if you can get a job. I agree working for one's self has many benefits, but security may not be one of them.

Actually, they both seem strikingly similar.

Yeah that is true. If i create a unique style of wedding photography that appeals to the public, I could actually make more money doing that, say after a few years I end up charging five figures to do a wedding and do a couple weddings per month...
