Default What Would You Do?

I want to shake this Dad's hand! How many of us could do what he did? I would hope I would do the same as him.

Saw this on the news today..... I really hope they give them the money. The family said it would go into the boys college funds and given their honesty I have to believe them. Big insurance company or college fund money for boys? Easy answer, especially since it was an AMAZING shot the kid made!

I'm sure the insurance company would like to hang onto their cash but hopefully their PR rep is informing them that if they do they will suffer the wrath of pissed off people starting boycotting campaigns against them on the internet.

Just give them the money... it was a one in a million shot!

I admire the honesty too. Perhaps the easiest win scenario is for the insurance company to allow the original twin to shoot at the next game, for double or nothing!

At first right after reading I was like, how stupid the dad is, but then after thinking for a minute, I fully respect the dad's decision. If I had a kid, their integrity would definitely be worth more than $50,000.

Sod that.. Honesty is one thing, but 50k is 50k.. Money and a little White lie or no money, no college fund and debt. That would certainly be a lesson for the kids.. Don't be like dad cos he gave our college fund away and now we're in debt..

Only hope the insurance pays out.. After all, the kid made the shot..

I'm with you. Its important for the kids to learn about honesty, sure, but there are other times. On the other hand, without the money, the kids might not have the tuition for college. It'd be different if they were well could afford it either way, but they obviously need the money. And since we're on life lessons, how about teaching them the world isn't fair, and sometimes you just have to do what you can to get by. Just hope he gets the money anyways.
