Hi - I'm new here and really enjoying it - but I don't understand why the posting rules say I can't reply to a an answer to a question I have posted ?? Why not ??
I posted a new thread last night and have had replies that I don't understand - so all I am seeking is clarification to help me take a better photo ???? Scratching my head this end ?? Can anyone help me out ? Also - if I don't want to reply - how do I do it....what do I click on ?? Thanks everyone... |

I'm equally confused to be honest.
You can reply to posts you make. The only place that we have a rule like that is in the Share Your Shots section where we ask that people don't reply to their own post within 24 hours in order to post additional pictures above the limit of 4 per day. Otherwise, there's no reason why you can't reply to the other thread you started (which I'm just going to pop into the Photographing People forum. This is the thread you're talking about, right? Taking flattering photos of older women - help !)

Quote:
If you want to quote the poster you are replying to(as I've done in this reply) click the "Quote" button at the bottom right of the reply you want to quote. You can delete some of the quote content when it appears in your reply box(again, like I have done above and that's because I'm only replying specifically to one part of your post) Make sure you don't delete any of the content within the [ ] brackets at the beginning and end of the quote. You can also multi quote but I think the above will be enough information for now, that's is of course, if you find your way back to here! ![]() ETA- I see you did manage to get back here, you posted while I was typing. Now you need to go to your other thread and ask the question there about the lighting. That way the people that posted on that thread will be able to follow up and advise.
