Default Must lose one which of the 5 senses?

You are in a car crash and you must lose one sense, which one would it be? I have known only one person to lose the sense of taste. He did not know the difference between coffee and food coloring water.

Hands down for me is hearing. I'd miss it, but I would be able to live without it. Sight & touch would be the last things I'd want to part with.

For me it's sense of taste hands down! It could potentially be one of the best things that could ever happen to me

Yep! I have a friend who lost her sense of taste after an injury. She ended up losing 50 pounds, just because all food was the same for her so she ate healthier.
I do think that I would miss taste, but if I had to pick....it would be taste or smell.

Yep! .......can you imagine it? "oh what the hell I'll eat this plain fat free yogurt, it has a similiar texture to that 1000 calorie ice cream shake and I can't taste the difference anyway!"....

If you lose your sense of smell, you lose a lot of taste also, so I would choose taste. If you can't smell your food, it doesn't taste nearly as good.

Now that, I could get behind. I love food, but I'd give up taste in a minute to lose about 30 pounds. LOL

I agree with Krusty. My dad lost his sense of smell and he couldn't cook as good since then. I'd give up taste if I had to choose. I chow down everything despite of it anyway.

PS
Asking a photographer if he/she would be willing to give up sense of sight?

Being single since January of this year after 30 years of marriage, and never having learned to cook.

I'd give up the sense of taste gladly.

I'd have to go taste too. I'd miss the smell factor, because I could probably keep Yankee Candle and Glade in business alone. And don't think I'm nuts, but I'd miss the smell of my husband. ( It's a proven fact that people are the most attracted to those whose pheromones are a good match. ) I'd miss it,...but I'm a very tactile person, as well as I couldn't live without the soothing sounds of night, good music, or talking to my critters and having them respond. The sound of my Hubby's voice as well. ( You'll have to forgive all the Hubby stuff. He comes home on R&R soon and since we don't have kids yet. ) Then of course, you can't be a photographer without sight. Although, if I were to lose it,..I'd be devastated, but I'd just find something else to be creative with. I'd probably focus on my singing.
