Blogging and photography...why you might want to consider it.

I'm finding blogging to be quite fun and beneficial for me....maybe you would too.

It's not for any of the "normal reasons". Not for networking, marketing, publicity or anything like that. Hell, I don't know if anyone really follows it.

But because my blog is about ideas related to photography, and not about pictures, the posts start with an idea and I often don't have the pictures to support it.

This means I have to create a picture to support the idea. It's like a weekly assignment/challenge for myself. And better than other self imposed "assignments" it has a meaning to me and therefore it's "easy" to get motivated to do.

Some ideas require a bit more thought/setup for the picture and those ideas get noted for further development over time. And because the pictures are not meant to be "fine photographs" necessarily I can have more "fun" with them.
