Default Hello All!

Hello everyone! First of all i would like to start out by saying that i am a beginner. I just bought my first camera that is a step up from a small point and shoot but is not a DSLR. I have always love taking photos and thought it was time to take it to the next level. I am hoping to learn all that i can about photography so i can use my camera at it's full potential. I am also considering doing a 365 project as well. I look forward to meeting everyone and i'm sure that i will have lots of questions along the way

Thank you i'm not really sure what my project will consist of yet. Thinking of doing either a 365 open topic project or a 365 portrait project. Still trying to find ideas! I also love the scavenger hunt project idea which i think i may also do

Hi and welcome to DPS, its a great place for learning, lots of helpful people here.
I don't want to discourage you but if you are just starting out do you think a 365 project is a little ambitious? Personally I'd start with a 52 week project, less pressure to get a great shot EVERY day, just once a week. You never know what life is going to throw at you that means you don't get your shots for a couple of days.
On the other hand you may be a very creative person who'll have no problem with 365 great idea, in which case I envy you
Whatever you do, have fun, look forward to seeing your shots

Thank you! I'm one of those people that wants to be outside everyday taking pictures and learning all that i can! I am very creative if there is a scetion on here that has to do with photo manipulations i'd love to share them because i've been using photoshop for a few years and love to do photo manipulations. I've been thinking about it and i could either go with a 52 week portriat project or a 365 open topic project. I haven't made up my mind though yet lol!
