Bring in the army and start shooting - maybe that'll stop these mindless, rotten, thugs. Okay, okay, but we are all to blame - there is just too much garbage in all forms of media that influence the children of today (and back some) who either don't have parents, have a single parent who can't cope, or have parents who are just as bad. We have allowed people to have, see or hear anything or everthing and too many just don't have the intelligence or maturity to sift through the mire and work out what's right and what's wrong. Sorry everyone, keep clicking your cameras and enjoy what you do while you can because we are DOOMED. We are all doomed!

its very very sad and very worrying, my brother lives in Hackney, i havn't heard anything from him all day, really hoping he's alright

i almost agreeded with it to start with, people were fed up of our police going round shooting the wrong people and not being held accountable for it, it is very frustraiting to see it happening again and again

but its not about that anymore, its about people wanting to be thugs, wanting to steal and riot, they don't have a cause anymore and that is the sadest part

Personally, I couldn't care less. This is what happens when you have a balless government and let everyone in the world into your country. At the risk of sounding racist - every shot, every debate on the news and in the papers revolves around ethinic "minorities", black on black gun crime. I'm all for having people migrate to the UK, but our open door policy is a joke. As sad as it is, it's now a given in the UK that when you hear about someone being stabbed or shot - you automatically think it's black or "mixed" people involved. 9/10 you'd be right. Even the white "kids" involved in street crime are very heavily influenced by black american culture; their speech, their clothes, their gang attitude. Bores me to death, so much in fact, that I'm so sick of hearing about it I'm currently cutting down my news/internet usage so I don't have to put up with it.

When I first saw the footage, it reminded me of the LA riots.

On the other hand, when you hear about rape, corporate crime and fraud - you think white people. Again 9/10 you'd be right.

This is where the problem lies, we have let our TVs raise our children! There's a good documentary about that by that guy who also shot documentaries about 9/11 and some other stuff. I can't remember his name, stupid!

That's not so true in the UK. The underlying issue here is that the government have no balls and reward bad behaviour. People are better off NOT working here, you get more. When illegal immigrants get to say - Canada, they're shipped back off. When they get to the UK they are GIVEN a house, benefits, free health care. A UK citizen on benefits can expect to have up to 75% of their rent/house hold expenses paid for by the government. I pay £650 on my house a month plus expenses and tax.

I started my own company 4 months ago. I get a salary that puts me just below the level of tax and national insurance. Now - being the CEO/MD, if I cut my working week to 16 hours but keep the same monthly wage - I can claim income support - about £200 a month, that automatically then also entitles me to never have to pay for meds or healthcare again and a whole host of other monetary benefits and tax breaks. So I can actually earn a lot more money and get a lot more form the state if I work only 16 hours a week.

It's a joke.
