Default is there a way to block certain things from showing up in "New Posts?"

Such as"My First HDR" threads (i kid, i kid)

but I really am wondering if there's a way to block a specific Forum from showing up. Particularly the Games & Challenges Forum.

Are you subscribed to a thread on there? If so, you can just unsubscribe.
As far as blocking a whole forum, I don't think you can?

No good solution that I know of. The best "bad" solution I can think of would be to set up a search in all the forums you *are* interested in, and save this search. This is a fairly large pain which requires, among other things, that you figure out the forum ID numbers of the forums you want to watch.
